Bernie, as ever, makes a lot of sense, particularly in relation to using ereaders for textbooks. As a parent of a child starting secondary school, making ePub versions of text books available would be an infinitily better idea than the recently axed government school book scheme. I would imagine that the €7 million (or whatever the figure is) would go...
Listening to WunderRadio on my iPhone in the background is a nice feature. At last I can listen to Newstalk and send a text or browse emails. Having said this, why background processing is not allowed by Apple is beyond me. Surely this could just be supported as an option, with the default being off?

Had a great family meal at Skipper's restaurant in Burtonport this evening. The food is pretty good (great fresh fish) and is reasonably priced. It's one of the few genuinely child-friendly places I've been to - it has a dedicated play room upstairs complete with table football!
Amazed at the corporate arrogance of Eircom in blocking Pirate Bay from September. What right do they have to act as Internet cop? I'm totally opposed to piracy but blocking sites such as TPB encourages piracy and does not help change peoples' attitude to illegal downloading. via SimplyTweet
